Ever wondered how to check the traits of narcissism?
This interactive Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) quiz is designed to give you some insights into excessive self-love and personality quirks related to narcissism. Dive in to check if you have any of the traits of this personality type.
Please note that this is not a diagnostic tool, but only a fascinating way to understand subclinical narcissism based on the renowned Raskin and Hall (1988) inventory.
Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI)
This interactive quiz uses the Narcissistic Personality Inventory to explore traits of self-love.
About the NPI: Developed by Raskin and Hall (1979), the NPI measures narcissism as a personality trait, focusing on subclinical or normal expressions rather than diagnosing Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). A high score on this inventory does not indicate a diagnosis of NPD.
How to Participate: The test includes forty pairs of statements. For each pair, select the statement that best reflects your personality. If both statements resonate equally, choose the one you consider most important. Most individuals complete this assessment in five to ten minutes.
Important Note: This assessment is strictly for educational purposes and should not be considered psychological advice.
Source: Raskin, R.; Terry, H. (1988). “A principal-components analysis of the Narcissistic Personality Inventory and further evidence of its construct validity”. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Vol 54(5), 890-902.
For each pair of items, choose the one you identify with most. If both apply equally, select the one you believe is more significant.
Your NPI Results
Here are your results from the Narcissistic Personality Inventory:
Your score is 0 out of 40. Keep in mind that higher scores suggest greater levels of narcissism.

Final Words
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a mental health condition characterized by an excessive need for admiration, a grandiose sense of self-importance, and a lack of empathy for others. It can lead to significant relationship difficulties and is often associated with other mental health issues.
